Tour of Wicklow Gardens

Tour Details

Day Trip to Wicklow, The Garden County

Take the opportunity to be expertly guided around Powerscourt one of the world’s greatest gardens with beautiful natural setting, outstanding art collection and stunning planting . Voted among the greatest in the world ranking only after Versailles outside Paris and Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in England by The National Geographic Magazine readers.

From there we bring you to the wonderful Mount Usher Gardens an outstanding Irish style “Robinsonian” wild garden, a total contrast to Powerscourt with its river setting crammed with rare plants naturalised from all over the world.

We will then have lunch in the 200 year old Hunters Hotel which is an ancient coaching inn still in the same family with quaint gardens. Then if energy and time permits we will visit Kilmacurragh, the country property of the National Botanic Gardens with its long history and outstanding plant collections before returning to Dublin.

John was the first guide I ever been with and still I can say he's certainly one of the best! Not only an extremely wise mind about the entire history of Ireland, John is for sure a great friend as well! Thank you for the excellent time!

John is an amazing tour guide. His walking tour of Dublin was the 1st tour that my husband and I took when we first arrived in Ireland. He was extremely knowledgable and funny! The rest of our honeymoon we traveled the southern part of Ireland and everywhere we went we said "Thank goodness John told us about this or that..." We will definitely be signing up for more of his tours when we come back to Ireland in the future! Thanks John!!!
