Tour Details

Freemasonry: The great misunderstood

Especially since the release of the Da Vinci Code much has been written about the ancient order of Freemasonry, but as before little of any substance has emerged.

Starting at the centre of the old city the tour Includes a Visit to the oldest continually working Grand Lodge’s headquarters building with its museum and beautifully decorated rooms. (subject to availability)

The tour aims to inform entertain and explain the history of and legends surrounding Freemasonry and Freemasons and to answer some of “The Craft’s” FAQs.

Ireland and in particular, Dublin has in general had a HUGE place in the history of Masonry with the oldest working Grand Lodge and the home of the 2nd oldest masonic jurisdiction in the world.  We will show how that blends with other parts of the country’s story and its implications for the development of the modern
World. Also included are the many famous Irish masons and their role in Irish history.

We are currently on a tour with John and are so fortunate to have chosen him to show us Ireland. Being our first trip here we had no clue as to where to go, what to see or where to stay. John has more than solved those issues. In addition to being a great person he is a walking encyclopedia of the history of Ireland.

You will find no one better than John to show you Ireland.

John was the first guide I ever been with and still I can say he's certainly one of the best! Not only an extremely wise mind about the entire history of Ireland, John is for sure a great friend as well! Thank you for the excellent time!

John is an amazing tour guide. His walking tour of Dublin was the 1st tour that my husband and I took when we first arrived in Ireland. He was extremely knowledgable and funny! The rest of our honeymoon we traveled the southern part of Ireland and everywhere we went we said "Thank goodness John told us about this or that..." We will definitely be signing up for more of his tours when we come back to Ireland in the future! Thanks John!!!
